Harrison Preschool is the first important place that children and their families connect with our school and become part of our community. Our Preschool provides a caring, safe and secure environment for all children. Children engage in play-based learning through their own explorations and guided investigations, and the thoughts and questions of each child are valued. More detailed information can be found in our Preschool handbook.

Our Preschool Sessions

Preschool is run in 2 sessions. A Beginning of the week session and an End of the week session.

Beginning: Monday, Tuesday & alternating Wednesday

End: Alternating Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Preschool IndigenousOur Philosophy

At Harrison, in our pursuit for quality, we have engaged with our community in a thorough process of creating a written statement of philosophy that articulates our beliefs. Our philosophy is core to our preschool service operation; it represents the values, beliefs and understandings of our community and directs the everyday practice of our educators and staff.

Our Curriculum

We use the National approved learning framework ‘The Early Years Learning Framework’ (EYLF) to guide and develop our learning programs. The Early Years Learning Framework has been developed to ensure children receive quality educational programs in their Early Childhood setting. The Framework's vision is for all children to experience play-based learning that is engaging, child-centred and builds success for life.

Our Policies, Procedures and Quality Improvement Plan

All policies, procedures and our quality improvement plan can be accessed by a QR code onsite at the preschool.
